'LIFETHREAD' BY RITA DIANNI-KALEEL ON DISPLAY THRU AUGUST AT LEWIS UNIVERSITY ART GALLERY

Romeoville, IL (06/21/2023) — Get inspiration on creating your own story from Rita Dianni-Kaleel's "Lifethread," on view until August 11 at Lewis University's Brent and Jean Wadsworth Family Gallery. The exhibit is open daily from 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

A reception and gallery talk with the artists will take place from 7-9 p.m. on June 22 at the gallery, which is also free and open to the public.

The series, "Lifethread," is Dianni-Kaleel's personal journey, meant to be interpreted by the viewer so that he or she can create their own story.

"From early beginnings, the arts have been the common denominator of communication, reaching across borders of understanding, to share the experiences of our lives. All of nature struggles for survival in their individual 'worlds.' Therefore, abstract/realism is also presented in 'Lifethread,'" commented Dianni-Kaleel.

The Department of Art and Design manages the Wadsworth Family Gallery events, which include Lewis University student shows, local and regional artist shows, annual high school exhibits, faculty shows, academic-based exhibitions and cultural and religious-based art shows.
