2013 May 29

Senior nursing student Ashley Wolff of Tinley Park was among the Lewis University nursing students that volunteered with Young Hearts for Life to perform EKG screenings for Neuqua Valley High School students. "This was a great experience for our senior nursing students to interact with teens. It was a great application of their knowledge that certainly impacts the community," commented Linda Arnold, nursing instructor.

At the Naperville high school, Lewis University students assisted with the screenings that could detect potentially life-threatening heart conditions, such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, Long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome and ARVD.
