Melanie Gillies is the light production manager in Lewis University's Heritage Theater Company's "Seventh Annual Holiday Spectacular Show" Dec. 8-10. The Glenbard East High School graduate is from Lombard, Ill.

The show will deck the halls with 90 minutes of joyful music, skits, and improv merriment. The "Holiday Spectacular" is a non-stop sleigh ride of heartwarming moments filled with singing, dancing, and laughter. The ho-ho-holiday extravaganza will be held in Lewis University's Philip Lynch Theatre (PLT), located in the Oremus Fine Arts Center on the University's main campus on Route 53 in Romeoville, Ill.

The theatre opens at 7 p.m. with holiday conssesions in the lobby. At 7:30 p.m., digital photos on stage with Santa and his holiday helpers will be available. The proceeds from concessions and the photos go to the Theatre Scholarship Fund. Performances begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for the general public, and $2 for the members of the Lewis community. Half price tickets are available at the door with a donation of non-perishable foods that are given to local shelters.

Seating is general admission, and will be available on a first come, first served basis. This year's show features a cast of 38 Lewis students & alumni. They'll sing, dance and warm your spirits as they put a holiday twist on 'Dancing with the Stars,' Lady Gaga, The Blues Brothers and much, much more. Its 90 minutes of non-stop warm and fuzzy fun the whole family can enjoy! The holiday spirit abounds as HTC shares the gift of live theatre!

The show is directed by Lewis University's Director of Theatre, Keith White and Philip Lynch Theatre Manager, Jo Slowik both of Joliet. Stage-managing the production is Jonathan Erikson of Chicago's Portage Park neighborhood, Melissa Chicola of Lockport is the assistant stage manager, Christopher Selefski of Plainfield is the properties master, and Melanie Gillies of Lombard is the designer and operator of the lights. Stephanie Hill of Romeoville and Jackie Sabani of Hanover Park are the costume coordinators, and Jackie Staszak of Braidwood is the soundboard operator.
