Jennifer Merzlock of Joliet Earns Awards at Mediation

Lewis University Mediation teams continue their season with strong performances at the Peacemakers Invitational Tournament Oct. 29-30 hosted by Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa. Lewis University teams won 11 awards. The Lewis B team earned first place in two of the three categories, securing the first place team award for the event.

Jennifer Merzlock of Joliet was among the Lewis University students that won five team awards in three categories. Lewis B team won first place overall, while the Lewis A team earned fourth place overall. In the Mediation category, Lewis B team earned first place. In Advocacy, Lewis B team earned first place honors and Lewis A team won third place.

Lewis University students won six individual awards; earning top honors in the two categories. In Mediation, Ryan McAuliff won first place and Ben Pavur won fifth place. In Advocacy, Sean Lenckus and Jen Merzlock won first place. Also in Advocacy, Jen Merzlock and Sean Cleary earned second place; Ryan McAuliff and Tiffany Wasilewski earned for fourth place; Tiffany Waslewski and Ben Pavur won fifth place.

Mediation members include Sean Cleary of Romeoville, Cody Curin of Burr Ridge, Sean Lenckus of Plainfield, Ryan McAuliffe of Orland Park, Jennifer Merzlock of Joliet, Ben Pavur of Oak Forest and Tiffany Wasilewski of Ottawa.
