Jacob Luedtke Awarded a Scholarship From the Chicago Area Business Aviation Association

Jacob Luedtke of Hampshire, Ill. and seven other Lewis University aviation students were recently awarded almost $50,000 in scholarships from the Chicago Area Business Aviation Association. Lewis University students received eight out of 12 scholarships offered by CABAA, an organization of aviation business professionals.

Senior Anthony Lalor received a Flight Safety Pilot Training Award, which is awarded to a senior with advanced training and potential for a career in business aviation. The award includes enrollment in a Citation II SIC pilot training course to be fulfilled at a flight safety training center in Toledo, Ohio. Upon completion of the course, Lawlor will have the skills to operate a Citation II, integrate the theory delivered in the ground school, and apply these skills to the operation of a Citation II aircraft. The Flight Safety Pilot Training Award is worth $17,600.

Senior Jacob Luedtke of Hampshire, Ill., received a $4,950 scholarship to participate in a Professional Maintenance Training Course in a flight safety training center in Wichita, Kansas. The course is designed to educate students on the latest aircraft maintenance trends, as well as foster a proactive, positive and safe aviation culture.

Students Greg Frister and Cody Marks of Orland Park, Ill., Wesley Griffith of Rockford, Ill., Rachel Walsh of Homer Glen, Ill., Robert Brancato of St. Louis, MO., and Richard Antoniolli of Downer's Grove, Ill., received a $4,000 scholarship that is awarded to students with a devotion to the business aviation industry and high levels of achievement.

CABAA is a grassroots organization formed by business aviation professionals for the purpose of offering members information, training, and networking experiences to enhance the quality and quantity of business aviation operations in the Chicago area. CABAA has been supportive of future aviation business professionals though various scholarship opportunities.
